The chosen article to be utilized in the digital portfolio
is, “The Role of Cultural Diversity and How They Impact Work Team
Performance” by Cherian et al., (2020) The article investigates the social issue of cultural
diversity and the need to promote cultural competence in the current world.
Based on the insights presented by the article, cultural diversity plays a
major role in the productivity of a corporation in today’s thriving business
world. The current world is marked by a high level of cultural inclusiveness
and competence in workplace. The current world is considered as a platform
where individuals from different cultural backgrounds meet to work on a
common goals and objectives. The article presents the results from a study
that was aimed at investigating the impact of cultural diversity on work team
performance at given University. The study was also focused on exploring the
effects of the multicultural environment in the current world. The research
was conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods to determine the
impact and the research findings showed that the cultural diversity plays a
significant role in the current business world. However, the results were
limited by the sample population utilized during the study given the level of
the cultural diversity. |
