Introduction

A video game system cannot function properly without a good database. The objective of the project is to develop a database system that is fast, efficient and well-structured to provide issues related to video gaming. The project will entail creating a database for Fusion Fall Company which is a video game business on the Microsoft SQL Server. Databases play a vital role in game design and development by storing the data for players, game states, information on performance, and maintain the video game’s environments (Gochanour, 2019).  The database created on the SQL server will be fully normalized and an Entity Relationship (ER) Diagram of the database will also be included. The database system project will also entails creating stored procedures that include, basic, intermediate, advanced, and complex queries. It will finalize by creating a front-end desktop application that will connect to the database for Fusion Fall Company.

The database will have the data of all the types of available video games, super heroes and users in the video game systems. The video gaming company can use the data to determine information like users ID, number of available super heroes, levels and number of video games played. It will also provide a framework to the user through describing the high level components and architecture, sub systems, interfaces, database design (Susanto et al., 2016). Similarly, Video gaming companies faces a lot of challenges in managing their inventory by knowing what is in and out of their inventory. Due to the presence of internet and smartphones, the video game industry is transforming greatly. For instance, some of the games played offline were by a single player. However, the video games today are played online by many players across the globe simultaneously in real time (Leung, 2021).Thus, the company also requires an effective database management system to keep up with the current trends in video gaming.

Many top companies in video gaming such as clash of clans and leagues of legends have advanced their systems to accommodate the needs from players. One of the key needs in the current world includes the need to accommodate real time communication. For instance, the players are able to communicate to one another in games like Leagues of Legends and the Clans of Clans today. Based on these needs, the availability of the database for video game services is very critical, more than ever for fusion Fall Company.

For proper support for such games, architectures that are massively distributed and can be scaled as well as having the ability to replicate the data to all parts of the globe are needed. These architectures allow the ability to handle the huge number of players across the world as well as providing low latency access to every player regardless of their physical location all over the globe (Gochanour, 2019). Moreover, as game popularity grows the online video gaming companies experiences high cost of data managing systems solutions which affect their bottom line (Susanto et al., 2016). Therefore, the video gaming company need to find a balance between cost, agility and reduced ops should be carefully designed considering the potential of growth in future.

Problem statement:

One of the main issues facing Fusion Fall video gaming company includes less availability of information than its overabundance, and access to quality information for diverse system’s users and uses. There is also the issues of the challenge is to refine and retrieve useful information from the massive data stored by the video game users .Fusion fall company requires a data management system that will be help the video gaming systems to store, organize, retrieve, alter, explain, and retrieve  the data in deferent forms (Elmasri, 2018).

Solution statement:

The project aims to design a database system in SQL server that will be simple, well documented, structured, and protected for easy and fast referencing. The database system will help the video gaming company to sort and categorize data the different users in the systems. The goal is to not provide simply data but, information that enhances understanding among the users. The database will provide us with information about video games and systems users (Leung, 2021). The database management systems will help Fusion fall gaming company to sort and categorize data as per the type of video games, super heroes and users

Goals/objectives

The objective of the paper is to propose a database technology that solves all the needs and challenges facing video game stores. The objectives includes to implement a distributed technology that will help in solving low potency and provide a well-designed online game store that is convenient in terms of availability of service (Elmasri, 2018). The database will have the data of all the types of available video games, super heroes and users in the video game systems. The video gaming company can use the data to determine information like users ID, number of available super heroes, levels and number of video games played. It will also provide a framework to the user through describing the high level components and architecture, sub systems, interfaces, database design (Susanto et al., 2016).

Evaluation

The project will be modeled after Fusion Fall Company which is a video gaming company. . Fusion Fall Company is a multiplayer online video game company that takes all of the best super heroes from Cartoon Network and re-imagines them in an animation style, then sets them in dynamic new environments. Players create their own in-game avatar and fight alongside their favorite cartoons super heroes from the network's hit shows to save the world from an epic alien invasion. The adventure video game company was initially developed by collaboration between Grigon Entertainment and Cartoon Network. The game used the unity engine technology which was one of the first major releases which earned over 10m ESRB rating for cartoon violence and comic mischief

The video game company is a mix of all the action of a 3-D console platform game and all the customization, super hero development and open-ended world exploration of a massively multi-player online role-playing game. For instance, players can collect small, super-deformed versions of Cartoon Network super heroes along the way that provide powers and abilities to assist during missions.

Fusion Fall Company is grounded in a re-imagined version of the Cartoon Network Universe, offering players a unique experience that is familiar yet still filled with new adventure, super heroes, settings and experiences. Similarly, many video game missions incorporate utilizing the design component where players can test out their reflexes and puzzle-solving abilities. The process entails strategically, equipping the super heroes in different combinations to achieve goals and optimize their skills during the game. A player is also able to utilize the Nanos to boost the player super hero’s' abilities by giving them special power supply. Therefore, the procedure to be utilized will entail designing a database management system that can incorporate the massive data from the users and the video games

For a solution to the needs of Fusion Falls Company, the company needs to implement a database system using the Microsoft SQL server database technology. The SQL technology is used because of its massively distributed super heroic as compared to the other traditional databases like SQL server. SQL severs can handle large amount of data users while making sure that there is low latency (Leung, 2021). To add to the pros of using a SQL severs database, other requirements needed for this technology is scale, operational simplicity that leads to low TCO and improve the availability of the data.

Conclusion

The paper has a presented a proposal for a project that will focus on delivering  a database management system which would be able to enhance the company’s Video Game business by providing the video game delivery resources through the internet (e-commerce). One of the main issues facing Fusion Fall video gaming company includes less availability of information than its overabundance, and access to quality information for diverse system’s users and uses. There is also the issues of the challenge is to refine and retrieve useful information from the massive data stored by the video game users .Thus, Fusion fall company requires a data management system that will be help the video gaming systems to store, organize, retrieve, alter, explain, and retrieve the data in deferent forms.

The company also needed a database technology that can handle video games being accessed all over the world in real-time. Thus, the paper proposes a SQL server database technology that solves most of the problems affecting the industry. The budget anticipated for the project is a minimum of $65000 and the project will be fully deployed within three months for testing by the end users. The system will be a new dawn for fusion fall video gaming Company. The project aims to design a database system in SQL server that will be simple, well documented, structured, and protected for easy and fast referencing. The database system will help the video gaming company to sort and categorize data the different users in the systems. The goal is to not provide simply data but, information that enhances understanding. The database will provide us with information about video games and systems users. The database management systems will help Fusion fall gaming company to sort and categorize data as per the type of video games, super heroes and users
