5. Evaluate
the results of the hypothesis test and communicate the suggested solutions
based on those results. (This section should be 1–2 pages). Provide the
following discussion based on the conclusion of your test:
a. Provide
a detailed explanation to your supervisor of how the results address the
concern.
The results from the analysis failed to
reject the null which showed that there is no enough evidence to reject the
hypothesis. Failing
to reject the null indicates that the sample did not provide sufficient
evidence to conclude that the effect exists. The results addressed the concern
by concluding that the claim of more than 155 monthly parolees is not justified.
b. What
is your suggested solution based on the results?
Based on the results, my suggested
solution is there is no need to start the process of hiring another parole
officer because we cannot prove that the true monthly number of parolees the
office handles is greater than 155.
c. What
decisions should be made based on the results? What should the next steps be?
Considering that the analysis utilized
the data for the monthly number of parolees, the next step should be to utilize
a data for the yearly number of parolee. The decision can increase the accuracy
of the analysis to determine if the supervisor will need to start the process
of hiring another parole officer.
