Initial Reflection

The intervention is mainly focused on helping the community by enhancing social and economic activities. For instance, the intervention by international agricultural development is involved in various activities and interventions that aim to increase food production and enhance agricultural practices in developing countries. Thus, it was clear one of the potential positive impacts of an intervention on people is the fact they can benefit society by improving the lives of the members of the society (Nisbett et al., 2017). Moreover, interventions can focus on advocating for food fortification and dietary diversification among the members of the community. Thus, they serve the benefit of the community by offering ideas that can be used for many years

One of the potential negatives of an intervention on people can include invading their privacy and redefining their cultural practices. Intervention in a community can affect customs and cultural practices. However, the insights presented by IAD noted the need for intervention in areas where poverty has increased due to the use of traditional farming practices. The traditional methods of farming used by farmers in developing countries are not only time-consuming but also lead to low production  (Gillespie & van den Bold, 2017). Therefore, the studies have demonstrated the significance of the positive impacts of an intervention on people to help them understand the beneficial methods of farming that can minimize poverty.

Some people can be marginalized based on the social, cultural, and social factors that are valued and categorized by the members of society. Some of the key factors that contribute to the marginalization of people include gender, religion, cultural practice, physical disabilities, sexual orientation, and ethnicity. However, poverty can be identified as the main cause and consequence of being marginalized. The studies have also demonstrated that one of the best strategies to include people in the community or rural development can include organizing community improvement projects. Such projects can include agricultural income development or education improvement project. Organizing a general health improvement program or conservation of the natural environment can also be considered among the best strategies to include people in the community or rural development
